Eternal Breaker: More than Just Another Guild
May 21, 2007 by WinterAngel

What happens when you take a group of childhood friends together, put them in front of a personal computer, and get them hooked into a new, trend-setting MMORPG? All hell breaks loose! And a guild is born.
A product of firm friendship and impassioned gaming, Eternal Breaker was formed in the wee hours of September 30th 2003 by an initial group of ten friends. Its purpose? To serve as a bootcamp for hard-core leveling characters and a virtual refuge for this real-life barkada. With its home in the Chaos server, Eternal Breaker initially was just one of the many existing guilds that is formed and dissolved on a daily basis.

But as time permitted, Eternal Breaker proved that it’s not just one of the commonplace guilds that pass into oblivion. The guild flourished as the friendship strengthened and as the passion intensified. The passage of years has taken its toll though, as many have passed and left as well. But after three and a half years, Guild Master -=SiegHart=- decided to finally break into the WOE scene and bring his allies and comrades into the fast-paced, crazy yet fun world of the pRO emperium breaking masses.

After but a few short months, Eternal Breaker is standing proud and strong. From being a rookie, Eternal Breaker showed that they have what it takes to compete with the veterans and as such, bigger guilds start to take notice. Siege after siege, the defense gets tougher and the offense gets stronger. Eternal Breaker has claimed Lephrion as its home several times, wresting it away from guilds such a Coalescense and Sustainer of the Realms, and stalwartly defending it against the likes of Invictus, Hyksos, Mors Mortis Infragilis, and Civitas Dei. And as a fitting feather on its cap, Eternal Breaker made its home in Lephrion on the final siege for the Chaos server. Hence, indelibly imprinting the guild’s name in Midgard’s history.

But more than explosive offenses and strategic defenses, Eternal Breaker finds its strength in the tie that binds each of its members. More than costly items and equipments, it is the passion, the friendship, and the love within the ranks that makes the guild what it is today.

I have been playing Ragnarok Online since February of 2004, I made my home in Fenrir, together with my cousins and friends. Little did I know that I would eventually find a family and make my way home to a completely different server. But as fate would have it, I found myself making a character in the Chaos server on November 2006, upon the urging of my friends Paul and James. And as Winter Solstice gained strength through levels; I have been so blessed to have found friends through distance.

There may have been challenges and minor misunderstandings along the way. Threats from opposing guilds that aimed to destabilize, to infiltrate, and to overthrow. But with much faith and commitment each member played the assigned role, and played it well.

There have been moments of tension and moments of discouragement. But all these were overshadowed by the firm conviction that together, we can make it. Together we can stand tall.

Eternal Breaker, to me, is more than just a guild. Eternal Breaker is a family in the truest sense of the word. Just as each one of us pours all heart and passion into the game; each one of us pours even more heart and soul as friendships intensify and love deepens.
